Bryon Murray: Self-Advocacy and Beyond. Interviews with Leaders of the Self-Advocacy Movement

Bryon Murray lives in Utah. He was a board member for Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) for 8 years. He served as president from 2012 to 2014. Bryon is a motivational speaker and works to help people with and without disabilities better understand how to all work together for a better quality of life. .Bryon loves to hunt and fish and being involved in the disability movement. “I was introduced by my doctor to a support person who has three children with severe disabilities. She was really involved with the disability rights movement. I was encouraged to participate in committees at the state level because someone pushed me to do it. It took me years to realize I was capable of not only advocating for myself but also being able to advocate for everyone with a developmental disability across the nation.”
