In 2020 she completed two main products:

  • A survey consisting of 15 questions, geared toward individuals with disabilities throughout both rural and urban West Virginia. The survey was designed to show how much or how little available transportation there is currently in each county. More than 100 individuals with disabilities completed the survey from all over the state of West Virginia and Eastern Ohio.
  • Melissa created a website that serves as a one-stop-shop resource guide for available transportation throughout the state on a county level. It includes a county directory for local and public transportation, and a phone directory of local organizations that provide rides or other links to transportation in the area.
